I think your phone is 1800 mhz only. When I was in France recently
access to Bouygues - the only 1800 mhz operator - was blocked (by
orange? See my previous posting). This would make roaming quite hard
for you!

Maybe one of the other operators had a few 1800 channels as Voda/O2 do
in the UK.
