The 402 is a single band, 1800MHz only phone. Get a dual band. For
America get a tri or quad band. Then all of your troubles will be over.

Not needed unless you are going to North America and a few South American
countries, and then a QuadBand would be better.

No need for a tri-band. Though more and more phones are becoming at least
tri-band.

Tnen you have no need for a tri-band or quad band handset. It will do
you no good at all.

At least they still use pounds ounces and gallons (even if they are a
different size gallon..!)

Yes, they still use the original French weights. The UK modified them
slightly when they adopted the French and Italian measures.
Funny how people go on about British weights and some wanting to keep them,
when there are far from British.

?? Google "wine gallon". The 231 cubic inch gallon was certainly in use
in Britain before anyone there knew there was a continent to the west, and
was one of several gallons in use by the British at the time the US became
independent, none of which were the same size as the Imperial gallon (though
the "ale gallon" was close to it). The Imperial gallon was invented and
made standard in the UK only after the US was gone.
