Default Rollover lost - O2 online upgrade

I've just upgraded my O2 online contract in an O2 store - O2 online being
out of U600s.

The sales asst told me that as long as I appeared on their system, I could
upgrade in the shop and keep my exising legacy tariff, Online 200 talker.

I wanted to keep this due to a number of factors, summed up simply by saying
that it's a £30 tariff and their current £30 tariffs don't include as much
free data, don't include ITS and don't include free VM.

Now, my last billing date was 11th June, at which time I'd built up a
sizeable chunk of rollover mins.

Logging into O2 online and checking my unbilled usage shows that I've got
some 300+ mins left this billing period. I seem to have lost my rolled over
mins and texts.

Is it normal to lose any accumulated mins and texts when upgrading (NB: Not
to lose the facility to rollover in the future, but to have lost any
previously accumulated mins and text)?

Thanks,

Si.

Default Re: Rollover lost - O2 online upgrade

You are with O2.

The accuracy and reliability of O2 billing has been discussed many times in
this group, however among unannounced features of their billing the
following may or may not be expected: -

Straight overcharging.

Stretching billing periods over holidays.

Changing rounding on individual call charges.

Arbitrary 150% call charge increases for pre-bought call time (P&G).

Charges for calls to numbers that should be included.

Loss of rollover minutes.

Double rental for short periods because billing and contract anniversary
dates diverge.

Charging basis for calls to certain number classes changed or introduced
without notice

Arbitrary cessation of [free] itemised particularly when any of the above
have occurred.

Coming soon (no doubt) minimum call charges or periods, so any call will
count a minute.
