Default Samsung E250 v Nokia 3110

I've ordered the Samsung but noticed that I can get the Nokia ten
pounds cheaper.

I went for Samsung as I've had 2 Nokias and fancied a change!

Is that Samsung a better phone?

Thanks a lot.

Just got the Samsung as first phone for my son - seems excellent &
looks/feels good as well. Charged and FULLY discharged (ignore low
battery warnings, let it run out) a couple of times and battery life
improved measurably. May not be as robust as Nokia, but for £50 its
amazing value.

Having some trouble setting mp3 as ringtone although spec says you can
do it - probably finger trouble on my part. Not sure about file formats
(advice welcome) Bluetooth to my laptop works very easily. Will go to
7dayshop.com to buy a micro SD at some point as the memory is not that
big.

Well pleased: my own phone (Nokia 6310) looks like an antique now. Might
even get one for myself as the calender and contacts are pretty good -
can then stop carrying Nokia and Palm. Samsung pc suite (free download)
is good so you can update contacts and diary on pc rather than through
the numeric keypad and just synchronise it all. Seems a bit cleaner than
the Nokia pc suite but I am still using 4.3 so don't know what the
latest version Nokia looks like.

Thanks for that, Richard.

Sounds like a decent phone.

Ed.
