Default say no to wi fi

An interesting story about wi fi's detrimental health effects:

http://prd34.blogspot.com/2007/03/ou...-son-sick.html

Dear Ms. XXX,

My son has been having serious ailments over the last 6 months including: Severe and constant headaches, leg pains, poor sleep, and even heart palpitations. Various specialists were at a loss as to why he had these conditions! The only thing that showed up in extensive bloodwork was a low IgA level. I did some research and figured out that it may be the WiFi Wireless Internet I installed in our home exactly 6 months prior.

So I quietly unhooked the system, and monitored my son so not to tell him of my changes. Sure enough, within hours his headache that he had without pause for 6 months went away. We're about 2 weeks from when I first disabled the WiFi system and my sons ENTIRE medical symptom list has complete cleared up! No longer does he complain of sore legs or headaches, which is a big relief to us.

Most importantly, his blood panel showed that his IgA levels returned to normal. Upon investigation I found that EMF/EMR from Wireless Networks can lower Melatonin, which indirectly lowers IgA - there are studies that confirm this. IgA itself is responsible for fighting a VARIETY of illness. So we can say indirectly that EMF/EMR may be responsible for an extremely wide range of human ailments.

There is plenty of real scientific proof.. just Google for placebo or
lawsuit against wireless provider if you want the real reason.

Just because ppl *think* wi-fi is to blame and start a lawsuit doesn't make it
science.

And why wi-fi especially ? We live in an 'electronic soup' of emissions from kit
these days. And why are the vast majority of ppl totally unaffected ?

Another odd thing about the story is the fact that serious ailments
and Wifi both apparently started at exactly the same time (see quote
above "EXACTLY 6 months prior").

Surely even those who believe that exposure to Wifi causes health
problems don't believe that the the symptoms start immediately on
exposure to Wifi?

In this case the exact matching of time scales would would mean
accepting three assumptions, each of which is very unlikely. 1) that
the low IgA levels were really related to all those symptoms, 2) that
switching on Wifi immediately caused a drop in IgA levels and 3) that a
drop in IgA levels immediately gave rise to symptoms.

People lime Lenny and dennis@home are not interested in scientific
logic and reason, especially when it disagrees with them..

I'd save your breath.

Leave me out of that.. I am understand science better than most.
I gave a perfectly valid scientific reason for WiFi sensitivity and a
financial one too.
Just because you don't understand what a placebo is doesn't make me wrong.

....

You misunderstood dennis. Dennis is possibly the polar opposite of Lenny,
but you misunderstood dennis's point. Of the many things one can accuse the
chap of, being illogical is not one of them.
