Default Setting up a Motorola V3

Hi guys. A member of my family has received a new Motorola V3 RAZR this

morning and I've been asked to set it up for them.

However, having gone through the web interface to register the SIM card

with Orange and all that, the phone is still unable to make calls.
Furthermore, the message button (the one with the envelope) doesn't
work (all I get is a beep from the phone) so I'm finding it impossible
to get to my inbox.

Does anyone have any ideas how I should proceed?

Kind regards,

Matt

Dial 453. Does it have any credit? Is there a signal?

RAZRs have a completely horrid reliability factor, so it could well be that
the phone is the problem. Does the SIM card work in another Orange phone
(and vice-versa obviously)?

Have you had your SIM updates? Switch the handset off and back on, do
any SIM updates come through? Delete these and restart again, and that
should be you...

I don't recall any coming through. Since I can't get to my inbox at the
moment I'm unable to check. It's beginning to sound like a problem
which can be fixed by a SIM update.

I've tried to phone Orange numerous times today but I got sick of
waiting each time. I shall try again tomorrow.

Kind Regards,

Matt
