Signing up for sms services

Hi

I was checking some information about flight arrivals on an airport's
website, and I found a service which allows me to subscribe for sms
alerts. The catch is, each message costs 50p. There does not appear to
be any verification, so it seems someone could easily exploit this to
cause someone a lot of trouble.

Interesting. It asks for no confirmation - up to £1.50 per request (up to 3
messages per request in the event of flight delays).
