Smartphone and traffic information

What are people's suggestions for the best way of getting up to date
traffic information on their mobile whilst on the move either by
dialing or browsing (GPRS)?

Traffic Radio, I use LCG Jukebox for the streams on my Nokia N73.

I use O2 1200 - it's usually pretty accurate. Dial 1200 and it tells
you the traffic situation for the roads nearest you, but you've got
the option to put in the number of the road you want too.

no idea how much it costs tho!

Seems useful especially if you have inclusive downloads in your
package but paying for a lot of kb and listening if you don't.

Ah, I'm now on Virgin PAYG and they put you through to the RAC travel
line (1740) which doesn't know where you are but I recall I used to be
with T-Mobile years ago and their 2020 did (and possibly still does).
I'll try them both and compare. Their websites quote 45p/min for O2
customers and 35p/min for T-Mobile. Cost isn't so much of a factor;
it's just getting quick accurate information on the odd occasion
needed.


I've tried the RAC web access using Avantgo but I can't get the maps
up on my HP514
