SMS to email?

Is there a service which will redirect inward bound text messages to email?
For example if I am unable to access my mobile phone for a day or 2 is there
a service which will forward SMS to an email account I can access?

None of the UK networks offer this service. The other way round is
fairly easy mind you.

Thanks. I thought this was the case. I guess the only possible solution is
to pay for a dedicated SMS web based account with its own number. Still, now
that Deltica no longer exists I don't even know where to get one.

I don't think there is such a service, but you can setup your own mini
SMS Gateway or receiver on your PC and forward SMSs to your email.
