Default Sms Validity Period

Hi. I'm on Orange PAYG. I send a text to a friend 4 days ago & it hasn't
been delivered yet (i have delivery reports enabled). The persons phone is
off. In the SMS settings on my phone i have the "Validity Period" set to
Maximum. Does anyone know what the maximum validity period is? Is it a week?
Month? Obviously after this period has expired the text will be deleted by
the network. Any help would be appreciated.

AFAIK, it's a month. Not 100% though - but I'm pretty sure.
