Default smtp.t-email.co.uk

Hi

Has anyone noticed any issues with T-Mobile's outgoing smtp server
smtp.t-email.co.uk ?

We've been using this for around 18 months in conjunction with t-mobile
umts/ gprs datacards to send email.

As of 9am 15/12/2006 we can no longer send via smtp.t-email.co.uk.
Outlook reports "Error 80042109 Outlook is unable to connect to your
outgoing SMTP server"

T-Mobile support tell me there is no problem with the server?!

I can't telnet to the server on port 25 either.

Changing to traditional dial-up and another smtp server allows us to
send mail

As nothing has changed on our setup and all my users cannot send via
smtp.t-email.co.uk, I can only assume that there is a problem at
t-mobile.

Can someone please verify?

Regards

BC

I had similar problem on a Nokia 9500, I deleted the particular account and
re entered the details and it worked fine. I tried to re input the details
ETC but it did not work so I just deleted the whole account and put it back
on again and it worked fine, never knew what caused it. Not sure of it will
work with a data card but you could try uninstalling it and reinstalling it
?

Also when you speak to T-mobile most of the Business support teams have no
idea as to how data cards and PDA phones work, I know in the past they have
got a specialist to call me back from the data card department to help me.

Finally, I thought it was just me going mad!!

I have been unable to send anything via that for the past few days. I
haven't contacted T Mobile yet, and will do that so they will know something
is up.

Will update once I hear back from T Mobile.

OK, just got a reply from T-Mobile, they said the engineer is looking into
this. And they do not have an ETA on this

So it's a problem at the moment.
