Default Software To Transfer MP3 Files Onto Samsung D500 Phone

Hello,

I've got a Samsung D500 phone and I'd like to put some of my MP3 tunes
on it to use as ringtones. I've looked at this phone's page on the Samsung
site.
http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/m...d500bkaxeu.asp
and they have a version for Windows XP.

However, this is no good to me as I have Windows VISTA. I emailed Samsung to
ask if
they were working on a Vista version and they said there would be one
released by the
end of April. After April came and went I emailed them again to ask and they
said a Vista
version was still in development and no release date has been set.

To be honest, I don't think they'll ever release a Vista version for this
phone as it's a
discontinued model!

This leads me to my question.
Does anyone know of any other software (I could download) that will allow me
to transfer
MP3 files on to my Samsung D500 phone?

Thanks.

You don't need any software unless you've bought the optional USB cable and
want to send your files via USB. Simply send your files via Bluetooth. Note
that sending an MP3 file via Bluetooth takes ages and on the D500 you can
not do anything with your phone while it's receiving a file via Bluetooth.

If you want to send an MP3 ringtone, that's fine. If you want to send
actual MP3 songs to listen on your phone, forget it. It's only got enough
memory to store one album or so (and it's gonna take you half an hour to
transfer it), you can not use memory cards, you can not do anything with
the phone while you're listening to music (i.e. you'll have to shhutdown
the music player if you want to read or write an SMS and the music player
won't remember what you were playing when you'll relaunch it afterwards),
you can not use any other earphones than the crap ones supplied with it and
the maximum volume is so low that you won't be able to hear anything unless
you're in a quiet room (forget about listening to music in the street or
public transports). I call it The Samsung Experience (I was lucky enough to
own a D500 a while ago. This allowed me to be able to appreciate at their
just value phones that are properly designed. Before owning a Samsung, I
naively assumed that all the phone were designed to be usable).

There is no memory card on a D500. Infrared, bluetooth and cable are the
options.

hey
all you have to do is upload the mp3 to this website

http://www.mymp3tone.com/index.aspx

then you can edit it online, and save it.using WAP you can download it
to your mobile fone and there you go!
its free and you can edit it(shorten , etc.).besides, thers no
installation or anything required.

best of luck!
(i do hope your fone is WAP enabled)
