Default Sony W810i Memory Card Limit

Hi

I have a Sony Erickson W810i Walkman Phone. It came with a 512mb memory
card but I would like to buy a bigger one. I was going to get a 4gb
card but I heard somewhere that the phone might only support a 2gb card
limit.
Can someone tell me if this is true? I don't want to go and buy a 4gb
card and end up only being able to use half of it.

Many Thanks
Andrew

I have seen web-based retailers selling 4GB cards they claim to have
tested with the W810i.

I use a 4GB SanDisk ultra II in my K750i. I have 3.5Gs of music on it. I've
just tried it in my GF's W810i & it works perfectly. I'm listening to it
through my Sennheiser PX200s right now. The card came from Amazon UK for
~90 3 months ago.

Every device I own uses different card formats so I have SmartMedia 128MBs
for one camera, SD 2GB for another & MS Duos for both SE phones. I refused
to have anything to do with the new K800 that take a measly 1G M2 card -
that's called going backwards fast! My new Canon A710 IS will even take the
SDHC cards that will theoretically go up to 32GB now that format supports
FAT32. I'm yet to see any SD cards over 2GB in the shops.

Why not ask Sonyericsson? They have a "contact us" on their website. It
took just a few hours for me to get a reply to something the other day.
