Default Sorry about multiple postings

I have been posting to a mirror on news.mistral.net and I cannot see my own
new posts arrive. What server is this newsgroup on?

News.btinternet.com for one.

You have had about five posts so far, and one resulting thread appears
fruitful.

I googled uk.telecom.mobile to discover it was on Google. I suspect
Mistral is very slow to update - I have done a bit of research and
found the problem I had is quite common with newsgroups although the
first time I have come across it.

You misunderstand how newsgroups work. A newsgroup isn't hosted on
any particular server but each newsgroup is replicated on thousands of
different news servers throughout the world.

True. Except that some newsgroups have limited distribution (one server,
or one company). But in the case of this newsgroup, it's (at least)
distributed to the UK, and in fact a lot further.
