Default SPVs and MMS

Got a couple of MMS questions about Orange SPVs...

The first is about the M3100. How can I set it up to autosend MMS.
Mine just seem to sit in the outbox and not go anywhere. Also, is it
normal for the phone not to automatically download anything more than
the message header?

The other regards the C500. I'm trying to set it up for T-Mob PAYG.
I've used the settings from Modaco et al but although I can get mobile
internet I still can't send MMSs.

Can anyone help me out?

TIA

If you leave the default settings alone they do auto send. Only if you
muck about with stuff will you foul it up.

Hard reset.

It depends entirely on how you configure the email account. The default
is to pull in 2Kb. If you want the whole thing you can easily specify in
messages > tools > accounts and going through the setting until you see
a screen which says "download ..." with a drop down list of "entire
message, header only, up to xKb" etc

Have T-Mobile enabled it on your account? What happens when you try to
send?

Not touched it all in that regard. Hard reset will wipe everything,
won't it?

Thanks. Will have a poke around. It seems to decide for itself whether
a message is downloaded or not.... Does it depend on whether coverage
is 2G/3G?

No. Do I need to get them to enable MMS? I get an "unable to connect
to server" message or something like that.

It will return the device to it's fresh-from-the-box state with the
Orange settings that you require. Activesync beforehand, and capture any
files you want to save, you will also have to re-install apps
afterwards.

Nope. 2G/3G/Wifi makes no difference to what is downloaded.

It's certainly worth asking.

Could be your end or their end.

Yeah - enough reason to want to avoid having to do that. Can they
resend settings via SMS?

No, not to an SPV.

Mine started behaving like yours did after I had been mucking around
with the settings, only way I got it back to normal was a hard reset. I
had changed so many things that I couldn't pin down what was causing it.
Hard reset was the only way for me.

D'oh. I fear that might be the only way - got a couple of niggles as
well (cutting off incoming calls when answering, not disengaging the
screen lock) so maybe it is time for some vanilla.

Thanks for the tips.
