Default T mobile internet access ???

Has anyone any experience of using the t-mobile datacard to access the
internet?

I shall be in an area without access to a phone line and wish to access the
internet from my laptop, not my mobile.

I am not very au fait with the requirements etc so if anyone can point me in
the correct direction it will be much appreciated.

Yes.

That sounds OK

Erm.. Laptop with XP and PC-card slot should do it. It works very simply

Unfortunately the free card & £20 a month deal with £73 Quidco cashback
on top seems to have disappeared :-(

You need bluetooth on both phone and laptop, then connect the phone as
a modem to the laptop - this can be quite a process, and a lot of
work.

If you manage to get it to work, you access the internet thru the
modem in the phone.

It appears this is the answer to another post somewhere about
something else. It is clearly not an answer to the OP, if you read it.

The data card fits in your existing pcmcia slot on your laptop older
than 2006 NB. new laptops have an express slot which is not the same.
Go to t-mobile.co.uk and check the coverage in the area you are going.
£29 per month card free. One years free wifi access if you sign up
before March 2007. Get the version 2.7 software from t-mobile.co.uk
1.8mb connection equivalent to a broadband connection. Can use the sim
card they send you with the card for calls too. 3 gigabyte download
limit, pay £44 for 10 gigabyte limit.
