Default T-Mobile payg vs contract

T-mobile do a sim only pay monthly and payg package. The contract
gives 50m pm for £7.50 to any network so that's 15p per minute. After
the 50m are used up the rates rise to 30p pm for calls to other
networks but reduce to 10p for calls to landlines or t-mobile.

The payg is 12p per minute to any network.

PAYG seems a no brainer. Am I missing something? This is for my wife
who only makes calls, 90% at peak times - no internet, no texts.

For many usage patterns PAYG is better.

This wont apply in your case but you can add WnW to SIM only for £7.50 a
month whereas PAYG costs £1 a day for all but tiny amounts of data. For
someone with heavy internet usage (like me) SIM Only + WnW (well
actually WnW Pro) is the best deal.

can't use call waiting / holding, diverts to numbers other than voicemail,
video calling even if you have a 3g phone but they're probably not important
in this case so payg.

Also top up £10 and you get free evening (and weekend?) texts for a month
which is a bonus.
