Default T-mobile setting SMS.

In the past week or so I've been getting lots of text messages
asking me to reply to them to get T-mobile settings sent back.

Usually 2 or 3 a day from shortcode 34967.

Anyone else get these? Are they official?

Anyone know how to stop them?

Steve.

Steve,

It's not a scam, but a new service T-Mobile have introduced. 34967
spells FIXME which is a free service to send setttings to your phone.
It's also used for MMS registration, which was a problem that T-Mobile
had in that you had to send a MMS to be able to receive one.

If in doubt you can can call customer services on 150 (free),but
they've been a bit slow at peak times and I had to wait 10-15 mins the
other day.

regards

Actually, I think some tariffs on TMobile charge for calls to 150,
although I'm not sure if it's by the minute. (They certainly used to,
and the website says "free-20p" on one of the tables).

Thanks for the info. Do you know if it stops if I reply to the SMS?
Would be worth doing that (it being free and all) just to shut it up.

Not free on my SIM only tariff.

Steve.

Surely FIXME would be 34963 not 34967
