Default t-mobile web n walk - no voip/messaging over ip

"Use of Voice over Internet Protocol and Messaging over Internet Protocol is
prohibited by T-Mobile. If use of either or both of these services is
detected T-Mobile may terminate all contracts with the customer and
disconnect any SIM cards and/or web ‘n’ walk cards from the T-Mobile
network."

Does Messaging over IP mean MSN Messenger? Or is this SMS over GPRS they
mean?

That doesn't really provide a definitive answer - since that is someone
else's take on it.

The OP should contact T-Mobile by letter for a definitive answer - then
post a copy back here.

I have a Vario II and I asked the guy at T-mobile (business team1) can I use
the phone with SKYPE mobile? Answer Yes, I downloaded it and it worked fine
first time. Only thing is that conversations are not really private as it
goes on load speaker, (maybe there is another way?)

Anyway had to ring mate in Japan on Sunday whilst out an about, I went on
SKYPE via Vario II and it worked perfect, in fact like on a PC it was
clearer quality than a normal phone call. I presume it needs 3G not GPRS to
work SKYPE ?

Re T-mobile if they terminate contracts for using SKYPE I will ring them and
own up "anything to get me away from them" LOL!

I think it will be a case of "see what happens" from T-mob and the others
and if they get a big drop in calls made then they will change it.

David.

T-Mobile are changing their web'n'walk tariffs next month.

Please see below...

" For £7.50 per month...

Web browsing and E-Mail access only. 1GB fair use policy.

For £12.50 a month...

Web browsing, Email, Modem Use, Streaming Media, Downloads and IM (NO
VOIP). 3GB fair usage policy.

For £22.50 a month...

Everything, including VOIP. 10GB fair usage policy.

There will also be a dedicated data card tariff. "

At long last, a suitable broadband alternative. Anyone in 3G coverage
but without broadband (not likely, I suppose) might find this a
compelling prospect, and it makes a credible fallback for ADSL.

I am presenting living in central London on the 4th floor of very old
accommodation. It's not possible to get a landline (and thus broadband)
installed so the T-Mobile 3G signal is a godsend!

I'm a bit confused, I was looking to buy the flext 20 + Web'n'Walk plan this
month for £22.50 a month. The new 10gb WnW plan also costs £22.50 - so does
that mean if i wanted to get flext 20 + WebnWalk next month it will cost
about £45?
