Text message alert on Sagem my220x

I bought this bargain basement phone about a month ago. The text
message tone selection seems to be the same as for regular ring tones.
This means that when I get a text message, it rings for about 20
seconds.

Man oh man is this annoying. Does anybody know how to fix it?
