Default Tom Tom - Handfree - SPV M3100

I've got an SPV M3100 and need to get sav nav and handsfree
capabiliy. I'm considering the following options:

1. TomTom Nav 6 on the M3100 plus Parrot evolution

- will the TomTom instructions feed through the car speakers?
- is the SPV too screen too small?
- are the SPV controls difficult to use for Tom Tom whilst on the
road?

2. TomTom 710 and blue tooth the SPV to the hands free on the TomTom

- how effective is the hands free on the TomTom, especially at
motorway speeds?

3 Purchasing Parrot and TomTom

- more expensive?

I'd appreciate any views

Thanks

With TomTom on a Windows Mobile device, the audio is not routed via
bluetooth, only the main speaker or headphone jack. You can use the
main speaker handsfree, but that's not great at motorway speeds,
especially if you have a window open etc.

I don't know about the other options.

No.

FOr tomtom? No, it's just right.

Not really. Voice commands enable you to summon up any app in any case,
e.g. contacts, phone, speed dials.

My wife has tried the TomTom Go700 handsfree satnav syatem and the
Garmin nuvi 310 Satnav and handsfree system. In my opinion, neither of
them are worth bothering with. The satnav on the TomTom is great but
the handsfree is very poor. The handsfree on the Garmin was great but
the satnav was rubbish. She now has a basic TomTom satnav and a Parrot
handsfree. Both do exactly as the book says. It is evident that
fitting all youir eggs in one basket just does not work in this
situation. Separate items designed for the purpose is the best way to
go. Just an opinion after trying three ways of doing it. HTH.
