You'll need to sign up to one of their "animal themed" packages:
"Dolphins will get to text as much as they like for 35 quid, canaries get
evening and weekend calls thrown in for £40, raccoons will be able to call
landlines as much as they like for £35, while panthers get both internet
browsing and text messaging bundled for £75 a month. You'll need to sign up
to an 18 month contract to take advantage of these prices."

What relevance, exactly, does that have to the OP's question about
PAYG???

Switch your setting to allow HTML and I will underline the answer in the
reply.

No, I don't do HTML. Just tell me. Clue...the OP wants to know how to
get unlimited texts on PAYG. He's told to get a contract; that isn't an
answer to the question pose.

Orange are saying that PAYG now has Unlimited Texts for free. This is more
BS then??

IIRC you need to be on their speak easy with unlimited text reward
PAYG tariff and topup with at least £30 every 30 days.

So its Bullshit then really? If you are paying 30 quid a month you might as
well be on a contract. How do they get away with such a twisting of the
truth?
The advert should say 'Free Unlimited Texts if you top up by 30 pounds a
month'

It is BS, as with most things Orange these days.

To be fair it does. It's in the small print Terms and conditions that
flashes by, though the ad and marketing people are probably hoping
most men are distracted by the young ladies legs to notice.
They sent me a SIM card with such an offer, it has got a table:
Monthly top up - Unlimited text reward
£10 --------------- 300
£20 --------------- 600
£30 --------------- Unlimited
Note the column heading "Unlimited" above the 300 or 600 !!!
And underneath in VERY TINY print: fair Usage policy applies, see
orange,co,uk for full terms.
You could spend a week looking for it... !
Muppets !

Martin

OMG! When I was with Orange years ago in the 'good ol days' (Pre France
Telecom), I remember getting 30 free sms on their website each month! You
mean to say this hasn't been *simplified* yet?!?!?!
You know what, you can get these free SMS messages back from a
website,
where you can send free sms to Orange mobiles in the UK at http://www.freebiesms.co.uk

No, it's still there, although it's hit & miss whether the website is
working when you want to send one ;-)

I am surprised that they are still doing this tbh and that they
haven't been simplified away yet.

Well, Orange tried to change it to three per day, but had to retract the
change when threatened with legal action by thousands of people
(invcluding me). They had said five per day forever.
At 10p per text, that's a value of nearly £200 per user per year, which
makes it worth taking to court over. So Orange can't really wriggle out
of it.
