Default Unlock Samsung C300?

I have a new Samsung C300 on Vodafone that I want to unlock.
Seeing as it's only worth 30-40 quid, don't really want to spend
much(anything) on getting it done.
I can't seem to find anything online about getting this done, except for
websites that want to charge me 20+ quid.

Anyone know anywhere this can be done for free, or can someone confirm that
it cannot be (easily) unlocked, in which case I'll stop wasting my time...

Regards,
Chris.

Please don't top-post. It's just plain wrong.

In answer toy our question, the sagem is a bugger to unlock as it
requires a degree of dismantling and some expensive computer
software/hardware.

I have no idea about the C300, but when I was last in the unlocking
business samsungs also required expensive software and a PC to unlock.
Don't expect to get it done for free.

Ok, thanks Jon,

Had a feeling that was going to be the case... should have bought a Nokia I
suppose, they always seem to be dead easy to unlock...
Ahh well... anyone want to buy a brand new boxed and unused SamsungC300
LOCKED to Vodafone for about 30 quid (ono)???
:-)

What's wrong with top posting?

Hi, normally if you can give the IMEI number and a mobile number that
you have registered with Vodafone, we can apply for the code for you.
If you have used the phone for more than 12 months then they will let
you have the code for free. There is a £19.99 charge for codes before
12 months. The only other thing you can do is get it unlocked
independently which is cheaper but then the network provider won't
cover the warranty on the phone if this corrupts the software.

You can contact Vodafone by going to the Contact Us part of the
website and select the option to email in. If you put the word FIT135
into the body of your e-mail this will go to the forum team who deal
with customer queries from these types of sites.

Make sure you provide the security details that are requested in the
email form, the IMEI number of the phone, the make and model of the
phone.

Hope you can get this unlocked.

Hopefullyuseful

Vodafone UK

Thanks for the answer but top posting is the only way. Why scroll all the
way down other replies that you scanned yesterday? Also what about blind
persons using reading s/w do they have to listen to it all before getting to
the peice that they need?

Cheers de Neil

In what other medium does one read the answer before the question?

> Why scroll all the way down other replies that you scanned yesterday?

For context. And what about people joining the thread today for the
first time? Or the visually impaired who may use text-to-speech?

No, because quotes should be trimmed to context. Top-posting and non-
trimming usually go hand in hand, it's inconsiderate and lazy.
