Unlocking Motorola V3X

Is it possible to unlock a Motorola V3X?

Do I simply get an unlock code from 3?

Are there any problems using it on any of the other networks?

Yep. Pain in the bum if it's testpoint unlock though, and if it is, it will
invalidate your warranty.

Yes, that's the best method, but potentially very expensive if you're within
the minimum contract.

Oh, one other question, in the past when unlocking a Nokia 7600, you also
needed to perform a factory reset so that it didn't try to roam on the 3G
networks. If I get a Motorola V3X unlocked will I have problems as I won't
be unbranding the phone from 3 and therefore if they've hidden network
options I depend on, would it cause a problem?
