Hi - I'm a newbie. I see that this was discussed about a month ago.
Thanks for any help you can give.
I've been trying to unlock my Samsung E400 / Virgin. I am having the
same problem as the person who wrote:
"The following instructions unlocks the phone at step 2, as indicated.
(If you then power off and on after this step, the phone is locked
again). Step 3 does as it says, but at step 5 entering the 8 zero's
doesn't work and only re-locks the phone". (Sorry - don't know your
name : )).
Does anyone know an alternative SIM code for this part ?
THANK YOU.
Brenda.
Step 1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not
locked to,
and turn it back on.
Step 2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will
pop up
telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey. Choose number 7,
your
phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
Step 3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message
saying your
phone is personalized.
Step 4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one
that is in
it. Power back up your phone.
Step 5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes.
