Default Upgrading from orange 2g to 3g on sim only.

I'm on an orange sim-only 30 day contract (Racoon 25?) which is
restricted to 2g only. Does anyone know a work-around to get them to
allow you 3g access as well? I believe they normally want to sell you
a new phone to allow this upgrade.

Ask Customer Services for a new 3G SIM card. I had one in the post
the next day!

Glad to hear that, Orange used to insist to get a 3G Sim
you had to buy one of their 3G phones.

AFAIK (unless that's changed too?) Orange won't upgrade
an old OVP Virgin 2G sim to a 3G sim

And that was on a sim-only contract?
