Default Verbal abuse from cold caller from o2 - worth complaining?

I received a cold call from o2 earlier tonight. My contract is finished next
week and it's already been sorted that it's switched off on the 20th.

The cold caller was really aggressive to start with and when I asked why he
was asking me all the questions he should know the answers to - IF he was
from o2 - he became really verbally abusive. Started shouting and swearing
at me and then hung up.

I have the number it came came from and a google search shows it is indeed
o2. Will this call be taped? I hope so. Should I bother to make a formal
complaint?

Write (not email - can easily be lost or denied) O2 (recorded delivery) and
copy it to Ofcom - phone regulator, maybe also your local Consumer Trading
Standards office too.

Yes complain. If you don't he will just continue with this attitude thinking
he is untouchable.

So maybe he wasn't from O2 then? There are a lot of fly-by-night 3rd
party outfits out there trying to sell services, and although they
aren't allowed to claim they are O2 or Orange if they aren't, I'm sure
plenty of the dodgy ones do. Especially if they take care to disguise
their CLID so you can't track them readily...

....eg, maybe by setting it to a genuine O2 number?
