Virgin Mobile to landline text?

I'm unable to send SMS messages to a landline text enabled SMS phone - the
phone can receive text SMS from other networks but not T-Mobile or Virgin.
I've tried reporting the problem to Virgin without success.

Could someone else confirm that there is - or isn't - a problem receiving
SMS from Virgin or T-Mobile on a SMS text capable landline phone?

T-Mobile and virtuals on their network use a diffrent SMS system, have

Thanks for the link.

The thing I don't understand is that until very recently I used to be able
to receive SMS messages from T-Mobile and Virgin in text format to the text
enabled landline phone. The problem first occurred about 3 or 4 weeks ago.
The messages don't even appear as voice messages - just a text error to the
mobile saying "Message not sent".

This is very frustrating. Could someone confirm that text enabled landlines
are unable to receive text SMS from T-Mobile and Virgin?

Curious. 5 days after this message was sent the service started working
again - SMS text messages received to a BT landline SMS enabled phone via
BT's own text service. It was almost certainly a T-Mobile network problem. I
can confirm, for what it's worth, that the problem affected all the BT
landline enabled SMS phones I tried.
