Default Virgin PAYG SIM PIN activated by accident

Hi following an accidental dropping of my Samsung into the bath!, it has
created its own PIN - without telling me!!

SIM is a Virgin PAYG 07857 ****** number. Virgin have given me PUK code
bit it wants the PIN instead.

I've also tried the default codes to no avail.

Help anyone.
many thanks

I think you need to make sure its fully dry, entry the wrong PIN until
it locks and then enter the PUK code to unlock it at which point you
enter 'your' PIP again. HtH

Tried that guys, thats also what the Virgin team told me - input a PIN
about 30 times, but it still asks for a PIN, not PUK. I've also tried
the PUK to no avail!

Try:
**05*<PUK>*<New PIN>*<Repeat new PIN>#

I understand this may not work on Nokia 'phones.
