Hello,
I recently installed the Vodafone 3G software on my laptop and it works
fine with the 3G PCMCIA card...able to connect to the internet, Outlook
and Messenger with no issues.
The problem I have is if I'm in the office and therefore don;t need to
use the 3G card, but instead use the LAN or Wireless connections. Once
connected the network response from the LAN is unworkable. IE takes
forever to connect to a website, messenger struggles to connect and
Office keeps loosing connection with the Server. If I deinstall the
Vodafone Connect software everything works fine again, so therefore I
know it's a compatability issue with the software.
I've tried the following and only removing the software resolves the
issue;
1. Shutting down the Vodafone software.
2. Keep the software running, but remove the PCMCIA card.
3. Keep the software running with the card installed.
Dare I say it....it's almost like Vodafone is forcing you to only use
the 3G network and therefore generate more revenue for them.
Contatced Vodafone and they have no reported issues of this nature.
Any ideas??
Thanks
Paul
