Default Vodafone contract

My vodafone contract is up on the 21st of February 2007, do I give my
notice on the 21st of January, or do I have to wait till February?

Thanks

Eddy

How much notice are you required to give..?

(clue - read the contract)

Cor, thanks to Egor for the pointless reply.

With Voda you're required to give 30 days notice, so if you
want it to end on the last day of your contract you need to
make sure they have it by 22nd January, Vodafone put notice
on the account from the day they process the letter, NOT the
day you send it.

Or, you can fax it to them on 0870 16 16 500.

However, if you're after a better deal you can ring up 2
months before the end of your contract and they can do that
for you, upgrade/new phone/non hardware deal etc. Obviously
doing this means you're agreeing to a further 12 or 18 month
contract.

Thanks, so I should send the letter on the 19th or something close to that.

Thanks again and have a Very Merry Christmas.

As I sadly learned recently. I wonder if that is legal?

Customers shouldn't pay for their lack of mail processing resources.

Yeah, and to be safe if you must post it, send it
recorded delivery, they'll always back out if you
have proof of posting and say they didn't receive it,
it'll cost you a quid, chances are you wont need it,
but 10 - 15 days extra line rental whilst another
letter is sent to them would cost you more in the
long run

The easiest way though is just to write your letter
as normal and fax it, lots of post offices offer
this service for less than sending something first
class recorded, ours does faxes for 40p for the first
sheet and then I think 10p per sheet thereafter.

It was a pointless question. The answer is in the contract.

Does *nobody* read what they sign any more..?!

Majority of people don't seem to I'm afraid.

I always AT LEAST scan through the small print of a contract
before I go ahead and sign it, wheather it be for credit or
a new mobile phone.
