Vodafone Live - Special Settings

Hi, quick question folks...

I have a K750i in Vodafone Live configuration. I'm seriously considering
the new HTC Tytn II, but maybe purchasing SIM free rather than putting-
up with the usual tricks Voda seem to play - blocking some
functionality, butchering menus, etc.

If I obtained one and slotted my V.Live SIM in it, would I be able to
access Internet services by entering the appropriate config manually, or
would Voda block it because it's not one of their tweaked handsets?

I suppose what I'm asking is whether there's anything special about a V.
Live phone, which is lacking in a vanilla handset, that I couldn't sort
out myself.

You'd be able to use all of Vodafone's services apart from Vodafone
Live. This is due to the Live pages not accepting the Pocket PC O/S.
As long as you set your homepage to something other than Vodafone Live
you won't experience any problems. The isn't any real difference
between a branded and non branded handset apart from the obvious
branding.
