New here and hoping someone can answer a question. What's a WASP test ?
It's an item that appeared on my bill just after I changed phones. I'm a
Vodafone UK monthly tariff.

Only thing I can fathom is that it's some form of security test applied in
some manner; do you use a GPRS 3g data-card?

No, I just use GPRS for browsing on the phone.

Could it be the age-verification process to allow you to look at
restricted content?

That's probably it - Vodafone's net nanny which seems to block any site
they haven't cached locally themselves. Very awkward when I first had a
card whth them - at least T-Mobile don't start with a block.

Ethically speaking it's probably a good way of doing things though, not that
too many teenagers I know have gprs data-cards, but there you go.
I work for Vodafone and have spoken to both our billing and technical
departments regarding a 'WASP charge'. Their response is they'd need to
view the itemised invoice itself to look into this further.
Vodafone would have a copy of this on their systems, therefore I'd
recommend going to www.vodafone.co.uk, selecting 'contact us' then
'email'. If you leave the short-code FIT135 in your email this will
route you through to somebody who would be able to help.
For the record, Vodafone Live! purchases will appear on an invoice
under the title 'Out Of Scope' should you ever see this.
Again, I'd highly recommend getting in touch with customer services so
that they can review your account.
