Is that the best Vodafone could offer you? Just had a look at their new
tariff thing and I'm sure you can get more for £30. My tariff at the
minute is 200mns and 250text for £25, and I started it in FEB this year.
Do Vodafone not have a 'customer retentions ' department, I've read on
other threads they can offer you more.

With Vodafone - be persistant.

I had a D500 on Anytime 125, wanted a FREE upgrade to a Nokia E61 (keeping
safe tarrif).

Spoke to several customer reps who refused to upgrade for free and wanted a
minimum of £75 for the E61.

I tried to get them to understand that if I let my current contract expire,
I could then go onto their web site and get the E61 for FREE (on a similar
tarrif). None of them had the brains to understand this.

Eventually got put through to closures dept - got my Nokia E61 for free -
delivered next day.

So it's a 'closures department' that Vodafone have. It's strange how they
can offer you different deals - imagine if you had taken the sales rep word
as law - you coud have been £75 out of pocket.

That's because sales people all seem to have one thing in common, they need
to lie to earn a living. It happens everywhere.

Vodafone are competitive on their £35 / month packages. Their Anytime 500
packages are pretty good and you can get them instore as well as online. If
you are willing to commit to an 18 month contract, the advantage here is
StopTheClock. It's worth a look. Also for £35 / month some 18 month
contracts bundle 750 minutes e.g.:
http://www.e2save.com/mobile/phones/...&handset=KG800
(I am not saying go for this offer, its just an example)

Cancel your contract by letter and they'll phone you up with a last
ditch effort and a better deal. They tried it with me and I would
have taken them up on the offer, their initial offer was an insult,
but I'd already ordered a phone from somewhere else.
