Default Vodafone voicemail

What do I have to do to get my Vodafone mobile voice mail to work? ie allow
a caller to leave a message if I'm switched off or don't answer?

I've tried both Vodafone support (web pages) and the local shop and get
nothing but nonsense ("It should be working now").

Symptoms:

Nokia 2310 wth Voda PAYG SIM card.
My number is
07899 AAAAAA

*#104# response:
44774BBBBBBB
VF-GMLRJ

##002# response:
call divert: inactive for: all services

1210 (switch off) "Your order is accepted and confirmed"
1211 (switch voicemail on) "Your order is accepted and confirmed"

121 gives or 3 beeps or a 'network busy' message. Calls to other numbers
don't get busy.

Calls from another instrument to either my number or the one given by *#104#
get a recorded message:
"We have made a few changes to Voicemail ... including removing your
mailbox.... Ring 121".

The local shop said I had to power cycle it between 1210 and 1211, but
that's not worked.

Anyone seen this? How do I get sense out of them?

Regards

Phil

Try typing *004*121*11*30# call, and then see if its working.

If not ask them to remove your voicemail and mailbox (best to ring in
my opinion). Once removed, call 121 to activate voicemail again but
the activation will put you on their new "next generation" voicemail
rather than the old system that your on at the moment. The new
voicemail system might work for you?

You can call customer services free from a landline on 0808 0000 166

Hi James,
Customer services on that landline number fixed it. Mailbox deleted and
re-created.
Many thanks.
