"w" key on SE T610

I am trying to unlock my SE T610 using a #pw+... code. I can access all keys
(#, p, + etc) except the "w". I have tried holding down "*" (nothing) and
pressing it four times - but I then just get four "*"s! What am I doing
wrong?

#pw+ is hte Nokia unlocking sequence, not sonyericsson.
