Default w302 and java net applications

Whats with this phone and java net applications

When I try to install opera mini or mxit it asks for a name for the
java net setttings and then fails to run. and nothing that I do
corrects it.

Admittedly it could be a branding issue as I have got a virgin branded
phone and I've heard that vodafone ones have the same problem.

Im buying a t-mobile model to see if their version works.

Would you recommend a reflashing back to the sony ericsson orig
unbranded version.

Sony ericsson say its a branding issue virgin say its sony ericssons
fault and i need a java upgrade I didnt even know you could update the
java separate from the firmware.

Someone please help me before both phones go on ebay.

Looking at the reviews W302 is not really a SE, it's a Sagem
with the S1 Neptune chipset ;-p
and so SE support for it is almost non existant

Why did you buy it?

just as a back up phone really would be nice to get it working with
opera mini. Anyway I will get it reflashed and get back to this
newsgroup to report if it works.

Thanks for the sagem info though very interesting.
