Default water damaged phone

I need the text messages off my old phone that went for a swim. I got it
working after 12hrs, but left it on while I went for a sleep for 8hrs in the
morning the screen was blank. Two weeks later and when I turn it on the
screen just stays lit up, anyone got an idea of what I need to replace?

Several places offer mobile phone data recovery, the big question is
just how valuable the data is to you...

Ignoring your spelling mistake, the text and / or any images, address
book etc. is simple data in one format or another.

"the data" refers to any combination of the above, and can be classed as
a single entity for recovery purposes.

Everything. It's broken beyond repair. As for getting the texts off it -
forget it.

I'm surprised, I've recovered a couple of soggy SE T300s by total
dismantling, washing in alcohol (IPA), drying and rebuilding. The hidden
area under the multiway connector to the outside world was the worst as
wet use had caused some tracking and caused leakage after cleaning.

I'll defer to your professional experience though.
