Default What Does Vodafone Mobile Internet Include

I signed up to the £7 (+vat!) Vodafone Mobile Internet Package and have been
surfing the Internet quite happily. Just got my latest bill and I have been
charged £14.50 for Messaging, Mobile Browsing and Data. I can't see exactly
what these charges are made up of as the online billing system tells me
quite helpfully that "We're making improvements to our web site, which means
this part of the site will be down for a short while."

The only thing I an think of was that I used my Tom Tom SatNav with traffic
updates enabled for the first time as I assumed that this would be
included - was I incorrect in this assumption or do I need to ring support?

It should include stuff like that, as far as I know it doesn't
cover things like IM services and VOIP, but other stuff it
does cover, have you been sending lots of MMS or reverse
charge messages or anything as Voda tend to lump everything
under 1 heading.

I had to ring them and ask them for a free copy of my itemised
bill because I couldn't see it online either, it's been down
for ages now

My bill has been wrong since the data packs started. I was told the data
charged for in error in June would be credited to August's bill, which
it wasn't. So I wrote in again, and I've now been credited about £43
(though I don't know what the breakdown of this is). I had a letter
saying it would be paid into my account. I still think this is not the
full amount, but the online billing system is still down. One bill was
for £89 and I was expecting it to be about £30!

The 44555 system is up the spout too, though it is correctly reporting
today I've used 0 minutes. Usually it says I've used about 171,312
minutes, or some other randomly large number!

Mark.

From 28 June for just under a month, Vodafone were incorrectly charging for
data when the internet (not WAP) APN was used so it could be that. It's now
being billed correctly and I understand they are arranging credits for those
affected.

The last time I checked out Vodafone they gave a set amount of data
for the price charged BUT when that amount was reached they start
charging at an inflated rate per KB. If they don't inform you when the
allotted limit has been reached then you could easily end up with a
very big bill - just what Vodafone want of course - I've never trusted
Vodafone.

Vodafone confirmed this when I got thru to them. I have been billed for ALL
my internet usage due to a fault in their billing system. I will have to pay
the full bill this month (£25 higher than my normal bill!) and next moth
this will be credited into my account! We shall see!
