What is this symbol?

Hi,

The wife's Samsung D900 has come up with a strange symbol today. See

I've been through the manual and can't find it. Anyone know?

It is a non contract phone with a T-Mobile contract simcard in it if it
makes any difference.

Looks more like an old-fashioned microphone to me... Could be to
indicate voice dialling is active and listening?

I've had a snoop about and from what I gather it is to do with the
answering machine function. Go to messages and have a look see in there

Thanks for all your suggestions. I finally found that her text message
inbox was full. Deleted all and the symbol has gone.

Strange that it is not in the manual though.
