It's about the same price as a basic landline phone.

Exactly, and not only that Motorola designed and intended it for the
Third World and other developing areas, not Europe.
Suppose it says a lot about what's going on over here these
days........................?

The N95 is an ugly, flimsy, over-priced brick. As are many mobile
phones.

The phone has talking menus on by default - for people who can't read.

No, a real phone is a communication device which makes/receives phonecalls
and I suppose in this day and age texts as well - as the F3 does. Add on
cameras/music players etc and it becomes a toy

So you'd like one too, but like me can't afford it

Uhuh. I can afford it and bought one. He's right, it's a bag of
under-engineered over hyped shite. Atrocious build quality, buggy, crash
prone, crackly audio and a battery that only lasts until you start using it.
Never again.

Seems a bit harsh...
I've only ever had good experiences with Nokia
I had a 6230 for several years, and as far as I know it's still going
strong. Only sold it because I wanted a better camera and a slightly bigger
screen (bought a SE W610i - nearly got a 6300 but the SE won in the end for
a couple of minor technical reasons)
Before that, I had a little black&white screened Nokia (can't remember the
model) that just went on for ever - that's still in a cupboard somewhere as
an emergency spare...
