Default Where would I start ??

Hi all, Its lurker Ross

My company produces electrical testing software / hardware. This has
become increasingly more mobile over recent months and now I believe
there is big potential in offering our customers a mobile contract and
phone bundled with some test equipment and our software.

Really I just wondered where I would start in offering this service, how
does someone become a mobile phone retailer??

Sorry for the non technical subject matter but I thought this was
probably the best place to find somebody who can steer me in the right
direction.

Many Thanks

Ross

Realistically, many companies may be adverse to taking out contracts
(which for small companies, would be in the name of the staff member and
require a personal Direct Debit) to get test equipment. Recurring costs
vs one-off costs can be a pain for accounts departments.

I don't know your product, but I'm wondering if a PAYG handset + SIM
would be more appropriate. I guess it depends on the size of your
target customers. It sounds like you're targeting businesses - and I'd
imagine that the different ends of the scales need to be treated very
differently.

Go buy a copy of mobile news, or that mobile, see the adverts for
distributors and approach one/some/all of them with a view to becoming
registered as a "dealer".
