Default Any current problems with voip.co.uk

I can't currently make any outgoing calls using voip.co.uk (and, no, I
haven't run out of credit!) but I can receive incoming calls.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

I'm not sure whether the problem is with the voip service or with my PAP2T -
although I suspect the former! Whenever I dial a number, I get a
oink-oink-oink type noise which increases in frequency and harshness after a
few seconds.

I sometimes get this almost as a matter of course when making calls, but
they're usually ok on the 2nd or 3rd attempt - but it's now doing it all the
time.

Working fine for calls in and out for me ....

Is this still an issue? If so, I'm stuffed in November - my £20PA for
off-peak expires then, and I don't have a credit card. Good thing people
use my Sipgate number for incoming!

I've just topped up with a debit card. It went through OK.

My Voip.co.uk connection was entirely out of action (also using PAP2) for
several days - but it suddenly began to work again today - crossing fingers.
Last week Sipgate wasn't working but Voip.co.uk was! Got both at the moment.

Phew.

Yes, mine came back after an hour or so.

Strange that I could still receive incoming calls during this 'outage'
period. Anyone care to explain that?

It's most likely that voip.co.uk use a large system built from many
interconnected components, so a failure of one component won't necessarily
result in total loss of service, just a loss of the service that component
provides. And a 'component' could be anything from a patch cable to a 7ft
rack full of servers.
