Wrong.
You do however need to know the public IP address of the homehub, but
then it is not difficult to setup dyndns / noip etc. to match a static
hostname with the dynamic IP.
You then can call up sip:4456xxxxxxxx@aa.bb.cc.dd where 4456xxxxxxxx
is the international format of your BT BBT number and aa.bb.cc.dd is
the IP of the homehub.
This works great for me.
