BT Voyager 2500V

Can anyone advise whether the telephone socket (RJ11?) on the BT Voyager
2500V is wired to standard Amercican practice, ie only the two central
wires, green and red, are live and that the BT connector adapter converts it
to 4 wire to enable a phone to ring etc?

Not sure, but many phones only require the two wires to ring, as they
have their own ringing circuit, though might be advisable to test your
phones first, to see if your phone is OK on two wire or does require 3
wire for the ring capacitor circuit.
