DTMF Issues (SPA3k & A@H)

Hello,

I'm trying to set up the digital receptions feature in Asterisk.

I've succesfully downloaded some decent sounding .wav files & converted them
(again successfully) so that Asterisk will use them for the IVR menu - I
thought this was going to be the obstacle.

Anyway, callers ringing my Sip(gate) number can press the appropriate
buttons & be directed as I'd hoped, using the Digital Receptionist.

My problem is:- I have a Sipura 3k which I use to connect the PSTN to my
Asterisk. It is not passing the DTMF tones to Asterisk. Therefore, I cannot
use the receptionist to answer my PSTN line.

In the Sipura, which has the latest firmware, I have DTMF Tx set to "Auto".
Could anyone explain the differences between the other options - "Inband",
"rfc2833" etc. - or shed any light on my little issue?

I don't know about Asterisk, but to get DTMF working with remote systems
on my Sipura 2000 I had to set the DTMF TX option to "INFO". I assume a
similar option exists on the 3000..?

That seems to have done the trick.................I just hope I haven't
introduced an equal, but opposite problem somewhere else!
