Default Germany to increase VAT

Currently the VAT rate in Germany is 16%, when adding credit to VoIP
Stunt and others in the Betamax stable, you are charged 16% German VAT,
from the beginning of next year the rate of VAT will be 19% therefore
your 90 / 120 days of credit will cost slightly more, 30c more.

Have they said they will be passing the cost on, or are you merely
extrapolating?

Given the the VAT increase will rise for all such providers there it is
doubtful they will absorb it. Best prepare for the worst case.

Not sure what they will do, probably won't make much difference other
than you pay 30c more to top up, as they calculate your charges without
VAT, when you top up with €10 you are actually spending at the moment
€11.60, but it is listed as only €10 as it's without VAT, credit is
taken from the €10 when calls are made without VAT.

So I would probably guess the rates before VAT will remain the same,
just that rates after VAT will be slightly higher, but you'd only really
notice the extra 30c you will pay when you top up, as every is worked
out without VAT once you top up. So you will be paying 2.6% more I
would have thought.

Hope that makes sense.

I'm not going to worry over 30c, I'm very happy with the service they
provide.

With such a trustworthy company, perhaps crediting them with £200 before
the increase occurs would be a prudent move ;-)
