Default Gradwell and Aastra 9133i Phone

Hi all,

I've been using an Aastra 9133i phone with Trixbox and Gradwell SIP
trunks for a while without any problems, however now we have decied to
go down the hosted Centrex route, instead of running Trixbox.

I'm having a bit of trouble configuring the phone, just wondering if
anyone can point me in the correct direction. I've been told to log in
my extensions to lon-pbx-11.gradwell.net, but as far as I understand
it nat.gradwell.net also comes into the equation somewhere.

On the phone's SIP Settings I have; Proxy Server/Port, Outbound Proxy
Server/Port, Registrar Server/Port, Registration Period. On the
network settings page I also have NAT IP/Port.

I am behind a NAT (Netgear ProSafe router).

Can anyone advise on the correct boxes to tick/which addreses/port to
enter where etc? Gradwell don't support Aastra phones, and when I
emailed Aastra they didn't seem keen on supporting them either!

Thanks in advance,

John

Proxy Server: lon-pbx-11.gradwell.net
Proxy Port: 5060
Outbound Proxy: nat.gradwell.net
O/B Port: 5082

Then put your username and password in. Shouldn't need to change the
Reg Period or put the NAT IP/port in.

cheers,
Paul.

Thanks Paul... There appears to be an issue with the phone where
entering 0/null instead of 0.0.0.0 for unused fields stops the phone
registering... Now sorted out!

However... I now have an even stranger issue! The phone is fine when
first connected, but after maybe 5 minutes or so (it varies), Gradwell
report the extension as offline, and the phone can not make or recieve
any calls. The strange thing is however, the phone does not think
there is anything wrong, and never reports "No Service".

Even stranger, I also have a Cisco ATA 186 behind the same NAT,
logging on to two extensions on lon-pbx-11, which seems to be working
without any problems...

Further to this, i've now noticed that the time/date on the display
freezes, and only comes back if you pick up the handset or turn on
speakerphone/dial a number... Inbound & Outbound calls still fail.

Try manually setting the Registration Period to 60 seconds and see if
that makes any difference. Also, do you know how old the firmware on
this phone is and if there is a newer version available it might be an
idea to upgrade. I'm afraid my knowledge of specific Aastra phones
(esp. the older ones) is limited.

cheers,
Paul.
