Default How to configure SPA3000- VoipBuster?

I have problems to get my SPA3000 configured to use VoipBuster.

It seems I use some wrong settings.

I get still the Busy Tone (default for all unsuccessful response status
code)

Up till now I made the following changes in the factory settings;

1 - IP address value

2 - SIP/NAT support parameters/STUN Server:

stun.voipbuster.com

3 - Regional/Miscellaneous/Caller ID Method:

ETSI DTMF

4 - Line1/Gateway account:

Gateway 1: sip.voipbuster.com
GW1 Auth ID: <UserID>
GR1 NAT Mapping Enable: yes
GW1 Password: <password>

5 - Line1/Dail plan:

<#1,:00311234567890><:@gw1> (#1 for testing / 0031 for Netherlands / 1234.
for my private number)

Am I missing something?

1. What about port forwarding in your router?
2. Even when set up perfectly voipbuster isn't always available. I
would say an outage probably occurs daily.

I using a Thomson Speed touch 510v4 ( www.speedtouch.com )

I don't know how it's handling port forwarding.

There is a configuration screen in the router, called " IP route table"

I have to fill in

1 - Destination IP

2 - Source IP (SPA3000)

3 - Gateway IP (router IP)

4 - Interface eth0 or pppoa (eth0)

I try to fill in for the destination IP sip.voipbuster.com but that doesn't
work it required the IP address. Do you know the IP?

What about my other settings are they OK, or is there something missing?

The settings for voipbuster go in your SPA-3000 as a gateway setting
under the 'Line 1' tab. They don't go in the router.

FIRST:
If your Sipura box is set to DHCP then call it up on your phone with
****
and then, at the prompt,
110#
That will give you the 'current IP'.
Open
'current IP'/admin/advanced
in your browser.
I assume you know the username and password.
Go to the 'System' tab.
Set DHCP to 'no'.
Set the 'Static IP' to the IP the Sipura is on now.
Set the gateway to the IP of the router (router then acts as a proxy.)
Set the primary DNS to the IP of the router.

Under the SIP tab set the 'STUN Server' to
stun.voipbuster.com

THEN
Look in your manual for your router or get info on the Net for how to
find Port forwarding settings on your router.

In the router you need to look for 'Port Forwarding'.
Forward these ports to the 'Static IP' of your Sipura box.
5004
5060 to 5062
10000
3478
8000 to 8012
and you might also forward:-
16384 to 16482

That should do it!

1- I followed the "FIRST" steps for the SPA-3000 successfully.

2- More info for my router was found on;

http://www.portforward.com/english/r....0/default.htm

I started forward the ports you listed, but could not get further then port
8000.

It seems there are a limited number of ports that can be added.

However, it is still not working and I need more time to figure it out.

I will make a new subject post later in this group.

TNX Brian for your help and information.

I've looked at this and it does seem strange. On my router (Netgear)
you can have a start and finish port for each IP. So you can do 16384
for start and 16482 for finish. With your router it looks like you
have to enter every port separately.
Hopefully someone who knows about the
Alcatel/Thomson SpeedTouch 510 version 4.0
will be able to advise you further.

Could this note from the Sipgate FAQ be of use?

"How do I configure my Speedtouch 510/530 router for sipgate?

The Thompson/Alcatel Speedtouch 510/530 router has a SIP ALG (Application
Layer Gateway) that intercepts packets on port 5060.

The solution is to telnet to the ADSL modem and remove this binding:

Click on Start > Run > type:

telnet 10.0.0.138 [or replace with the correct ip address]

Trying 10.0.0.138...

Connected to speedtouch

Escape character is '^]'.

Username : root

Password :

----------

....

.... welcome message deleted

....

Unbind the SIP protocol and reboot the modem:

=>nat unbind application=SIP port=5060

=>config save

=>system reboot

To check whether the SIP protocol is bound in your modem use this command to
show the list of bindings (only showing SIP here):

=>nat bindlist

Application Proto Port

SIP udp 5060

If the line doesn't appear, your phone should work.

Is This any good to you?

Linksys PAP2 (Sipura 2000) - VOIPBuster setup

On the sip page (advanced mode):

STUN Server: stun.fwdnet.net:3478
(you can use any STUN server, they are not provider specific.)
change "Substitute VIA Addr" to yes
change "EXT IP" to your router's IP

On the Line 1 (or 2) page:

change "Nat Mapping Enable" to yes
Proxy: sip.voipbuster.com
Use Outbound Proxy: no
Outbound Proxy: (leave empty)
Register: yes

Display Name: (your voipbuster username)
User ID: (your voipbuster username)
Password: (your voipbuster password)

Put the PAP2 IP into the router's DMZ

OT

In the seca-1 / Irdeto-1 period I visit sat forums and news-groups.
My time is limited now and I'm not active anymore in this forums.
However, I'm still a sat and HAM forum/news group reader, to know the
technical details.

Cor
