Cobblers to that, vonage is too expensive and if you are involved with
it, I would not touch Vonage with a barge pole.

This was pritty much on the cards. Probably a result of poor takeup
in the UK based on their current advertising.

Exactly. the only advertising I see is some adverts on a few websites I
visit. they only appear for a few seconds, until my ad blocker cuts in
and knocks them out.

I see lots of adverts, having Sky it is something you get used to. But I
have not seen any vonage adverts.

£9.99 per month for unlimited UK calls is excellent value when compared to
BT.
It might not be as cheap (or free) as others but then you do tend to get
what you pay for :-)

Only if you are going to use that much or more in calls.
Since most of my phone calls are in the evening and weekends, to which I
only have to pay 5p per call, for up to 90 minutes. A couple of people I
phone a lot is using the same phone supplier as myself, so I can phone
them any time of day and night and not pay a penny
So 60p a day you not be exellent value for me and with more and more
land line phone suppliers, giving the same sort of service as mine, 60p
a day would not be great value to most of them either.

Now you are putting words into my mouth, or you would be if we was
talking. I did not say I could not afford it, I said I did not find it
exellent value, whichb it would not be, since I would not even use that
amount in calls per day, and a lot of people are in the same position.

Sometimes I might make ten calls in an afternoon, sometimes I might not
make one for a week.
I can't guarantee making x amount of calls so why should I pay for them..?

I doubt I make anywhere near that per day in calls. I phone a mate and
also a friend of mine a lot, but only because it is free between us.
Like I my call and ask my friend if she wants to pop over for a coffee
and vice versa.

You mean they let you on the road? How can they be so stupid.
I don;t know where you are, but most buses here have got clutches, ok
they are not full lenght, but that is not the point.
Anyway, the prices that are charged now, I should think the pay should
be ok. I was charged a pound for a one way trip last week, for a
journey that cost 60p last year. I am glad I use the bicycle or wlak
most places. I doubt I will use the buses here anymore.

Why would I want to spend 60p per day with an extra phone company when I
don't currently even spend 60p per week for calls with my current company?

So I can use Vonage over my ADSL without paying my BT line rental? Nor
my ADSL charges?
Oh, maybe I have to use cable broadband, but then I might not live in a
area so served, and if I did I might not want to restrict myself to
their service.
